You have connected with a social media account and every time you try to change it, it reconnects to the same one? Here's the solution...

This is most likely because you have that account open in your browser, which saves cookies to keep the session open. You can easily check this by opening a new tab in your browser right now and typing in the URL of the social network you're trying to connect to, for example: facebook.com. You'll see that you're already logged in.

Followr works in the same way, which is why when you remove the integration of a social network and reconnect it, it connects back to the same account.

But don't worry, it's very easy to sort this out. Below are two options:

Option A

  1. Open a new tab in the same browser you are using for Followr.

  2. Enter the URL of the social network where you want to change the account, for example, tiktok.com (if the social network is Instagram, you should go to facebook.com since IG is managed through your personal FB account).

  3. You'll see that you're logged in. Log out of the session.

  4. Go to Followr's integrations section and disconnect the social network.

  5. In the same section of Followr, re-integrate the social network.

  6. This time it should ask you to log in with your username and password. Log in with the correct account this time.

Option B

  1. Open an incognito window in your browser.

  2. Sign in to Followr.

  3. Go to the Integrations section and disconnect the social network you are trying to change.

  4. In the same section of Followr, re-integrate the social network.

  5. This time it should ask you to log in with your username and password. Log in with the correct account.

If your personal Facebook account logged into Followr is correct but you're not seeing your Instagram pages or accounts listed as options, then I recommend reading these two articles:

It's important to understand that both the Facebook page and the professional Instagram account are linked to the same personal Facebook account. That's why when you first log in to Instagram or Facebook, it asks you to connect your personal Facebook account.
